No, I found it on VCoins. It's not quite UNC but it's lovely and original and crusty. Just the way I like them
An irradiated dime from the American Museum of Atomic Energy at Oak Ridge in Tennessee. A 1790 Scottish Edinburgh half penny token, a so-called "Conder token" I guess.
For those wondering (like me) what an irradiated dime is: http://www.orau.org/ptp/collection/medalsmementoes/dimes.htm
It was a happy day at my PO box today with three new purchases showing up. The first is an NGC MS64 1901 Florin for my 1901 Great Britain set. It came with a neat fossilized shark tooth Here's the tooth, it's about 4cm long and from a megalodon: The second is a 1s6d 1812 bank token. Perhaps just touched off but nice and original and the way I love them. This one was a blurry eBay punt that paid off. The final one is a Chilean Peso, I guess it's one of the Copiapo siege pieces from around 1859.
Well I kind of have two already They are both in PCGS MS64 slabs. If you believe yours is an improvement on that then yes, I am interested.
Nah, I reckon she's got more bite than that. Hers would be more this size. this one is from a fully grown megalodon, which were about 20m long. Compare that with a great white shark at up to 5m long. The tooth is 10cm long and that's a 5c on it for scale.
Hi - see images, coin appears to have complete details with no nicks, scratches, dents - it does have some uneven toning.. love the way the veil is so detailed and the toning makes it so much more realistic.
It looks nice enough but I'd want to see it in hand before ponying up any $$ on it. Where in Australia are you?
