Nice coins Aurora, even the worn half has appeal. Are you going to move them on?

Charles E. Barber (of Barber half/quarter/dime fame) is listed as the engraver of that Cuban coin.
It is probably the first time that the coat of arms appeared on a coin.
Here is a modern proof coin, the details are different.

Great looking coins here. Every time I lurk in these threads I think it would be nice to get some old beautys ..

I had some luck with a box of coins I got a garage sale (yard sale for our American freinds). It was just a box of old coins so not costly. I did some checking on the net, found a cool site (you guys already know about it probably) that has made the search for info. on what I found a LOT easier http://coinquest.com/

Here are some I have already searched.

    1872 Indian Head Penny

    1888 Jubilee Half Crown

    1883 Hawaii Dime

These didn't come in 2X2's, all of the coins were just loose in the box .. I put them into the 2X2's so I can write on them to keep track of what these coins are

Gorgeous coins, the coin from Palau looks very similar to the coat of arms on the German states coins

Nice coins Mirrorman, the Hawaiian coins in general are very scarce and highly sought after

The 1872 penny looks to be of high enough grade to be worth something.
