Chinese medals - silver isn't the only composition!

Hi A-Z,
I think it was around 2013. I also bought a few Dazu Rock medals which I can post later plus a heap of panda's. I was amazed at the quality & the medals being heavy appealed to me.
My primary target was x amount of gold/silver bullion, once I hit the target I branched out into medals, rare panda & Bitcoin.
Most my coin are gold or silver but I like the big copper & brass a lot.
Fingers crossed it works out.

Big medal which Shanghai new century mint did a good job but not small medal.

The shipping fee is the killer of big medal else it is very good.

I have 2 item received today which are 80 mm
 
I'm sad I never bought the silver.
I bought 3 brass - 1 is in a smaller red box, 2 in wood & 2 copper both in wood boxes.

That is indeed interesting. One would assume that no matter which mint branch produces the same item, that it would come in the same presentation as the other(s).

By the way, is the pearl in the Xi-Shi real (natural or cultured) or is it plastic or resin? It's a darn big pearl if it's real !

Well, you were wise to purchase the majority of the silver Xi-Shi medals. The design seems to be very popular among most people here, myself included. Someone herein this thread I think it was, mentioned how they have a hard time picking which side they like more - the obverse or reverse. I think I agree with that because the dragon side is also stunning and perhaps more overlooked than the beautiful Xi-Shi side.

As heard it is cultured.

Coa 555

Please notes many fake item exist for this version of god of wealth. They have box BUT no coa.
 
Nice medal! It's nice that you got also magnifying glass with it. I doubt I saw this before.

666 is also nice mintage number, haha.

Silver version is probably among top 5 most wanted MCM on my list.

Many varieties of the silver 3.3 tales version. Hard to get PF69. I have one nicer tone PF68 on my hand.
 
A nice piece of Panda. Good engraving by master artist who design 1989 panda coin. It is by CGIC for 35 th anniv panda coin celebration.

The release price in china is RMB2850 @ USD431 excluding paypal fee and shipping. CGIC panda anniv items were always sell at high release price with hyping by not releasing all stock to market. After a while the price will go lower and stable down

It is 90 mm diameter with bimetallic - alloy and brass instead of silver.
