I love what Peter Joseph doing with Zeitgeist movement. Although I agree with part of his philosophy but I disagree with his extreme view of Money is the root of ALL evil. In a society without money everybody are walking SAINTS! Come on gimme a break...
It's an interesting thought.
As Wolfpack says, there's even theories that the Michael Moores, Al Gores etc are all part of the same machinery that is creating this mess. They're seemingly freedom fighters, but really tools of the system, saying some truth but discredited by a few stupid statements.
Like the global warming theory. The whole movement has been hijacked and turned into a taxation system. Now govt's are pretending they're pro-global warming purely for carbon taxes. Forgetting the real issues, like our toxic rivers, rape of forests and extinction of species.
Peter Joseph has done a great job with his expose's on religion and money, but I too have been overfed on this stuff, and enough is enough. SS is my hedge against the insanity.
As for a world without money. These futurists have a great idea, but none of those ideas can work (ie rid the world of money) while we're in our current frame of mind. That being, compete with each other, look out for no. 1, what's in it for me attitudes. These attitudes must die before we can move onto anything resembling these new "systems". And the only way for these attitudes to die, or to become obsolete, is for some kind of new "awareness" to hit human beings.
I think we need something like aliens to show themselves, to show us we're in a galactic community instead of a national community (ie country v country), or a total awakening to our true nature and being. "Why are we here", "What am I", "Who am I" etc. As, I know from my own experience, when your consciousness is lifted above "self" and you can see the "unity" of everything, then there's no need to compete anymore. What I do to you, I do to myself. Now if we "really" knew that, then life without money as such would be easy. What's mine is yours and what's yours is mine.
Until then, they're just great ideas, but impossible to enact. (No more hippie communes)!!
On a side note, i've never been a "ufo" type of person, never thought about it much. But just the other night, when gazing at the stars, I changed my usual thoughts .... and instead looked into the heavens with the thought that it's actually a crowded universe out there (not sparse), that there are hundreds of thousands of civilisations out there, in every galaxy and solar system. And we here down on earth continually question as to whether we're the only ones in the universe. It could be a bit of a cosmic joke on us.
