I knew what doge was lint before there was doge coin. Despite that, when I first heard of doge coin actuality being accepted at different places I assumed it was called doge after the doges of Venice. I felt like a pretty clever idiot when I figured out it was /b/'s favorite trans-lunar canine.

I'm not personally into the crypto stuff, just an interested outside observer.

So, I can get why they do these coins & rounds, and that some would be into them.


But come on, the designs on both sides are incredibly cheesy!

Though I guess some people like that stuff?


They should have went a different route, IMO..
 
If its not make by a mint I'm not a buyer, no way I could sell that in this country when I live down street from a Mint. Will there be a Providence metals in 25 years and will new stackers know what your selling ? I bet they will think is a Chinese fake. I guess there is no Johnson Mathey now either though now its Japan Mathey.
