I hope you stick around mate.
Didnt personaly really see anything wrong with what you said, I got mates who talk that way to everyone. Bit of stiring never hurt anyone in any real way.

Your not the only one here that starts attacking on a personal level, sure people might not like it but at the end of the day its on the internet! Its no ones real name and (cant speak for others) but I get a laugh when someone has to go there :D

Its all a bit of fun, people have different views and also need to have a bit of thick skin when you put your views out for all to see.
If people are getting the sh#ts about your name calling, take it on the chin but come back. Its pretty hard to have a 2 sided discussion if the whole place is only supporting 1 view :D

Its the internet!

No kidding. Especially when he launches a comment about every country being jealous of the U.S.

Logging in JUST to be controversial is for teenagers...

I was particularly gobsmacked by the comment of being ok with nuking countries out of step with the US.
I didn't comment however as this is still a valid opinion even though I found it very, very odious.
Differing viewpoints are stimulating to debate, essential in fact, but constant controversy and holding contrary positions just for the sake of a scrap get tedious very quickly.
I still believe it was more a case of lacking communication skills and quite possibly a large deficit in humility.

I have to admit I was in a bad mood one day a while back and said some things that I should not have said. I took one of his post the wrong way and I said some negative things. I am actually not that kind of a person to act that way but I did. We all have are moments and no one person is perfect. The way his post was wrote made it sound to me like anyone that invest in silver was a liar and I may have taken it the wrong way. If I offended anyone I do apologize usually my post are about family or personal experiences. Have a good day evening afternoon morning whatever time it is where ever the heck you are.

I'm glad bamaguy left. He openly delighted in the fact people bought silver higher than it is now, he loved it.

He also said he'd be very happy if Afghanistan gets nuked killing everyone.

Don't forget the "jealous of USA" comment.

So what?
Stackers are openly delighted when people buy silver lower than it is now, they love it.
Except that stackers generally consider themselves to be moralistic in doing so, I fail to see the difference... there still remains one party that suffered lost opportunity.

Not really, you buy from a mint that markets a product at a price. You buy it, they profit. Silver goes up, you profit. No one has suffered.

That is a very simplistic, idealistic and misleading perspective IMHO.
However, it is refreshing to see you reference the goal of profit, instead of trying to spin the "measured in oz's" rhetoric.

Whoops accidentally hit "thanks" instead of quote.

I'm actually completely missing your point and I think it was just one of those "off the cuff" comments. Are you saying that trading is immoral? Which - knowing you - I'm pretty sure you're not, hence the purpose of stacking (moral-based or not) is irrelevant to whether someone "suffered" on either side of the trade.

IMO, delighting in the (perceived) suffering of others (i.e. schadenfreude) is more of an indicator of someone who is immoral rather than an actual immoral thing in itself. Among other things, it's an indicator of someone with tall poppy syndrome for example which has the tendency to result in aggressive and demeaning behaviour against others which is immoral.

So what? I don't like people laughing at me and being overjoyed because I could have bought more silver now as opposed to when I bought.

It's a stinking attitude.

Just re-read the past posts that seem to have upset you so much.
It seems to me that Bamaguy did not actually initiate the laughing, but instead retaliated to being laughed at... merely for holding an opinion that could be considered non-permabull.
All said and done, I'd say he didn't really give a **** about others losses, let alone being overjoyed?
Instead, it looks like someone else's ego and pride was dented by their past posts.

Gee you've got time, going though big bama's posts.

Bamaguy you are such a sook

I'd prefer you didn't leave but that is entirely your choice

But if you are going to dish it out you should be able to take it

Others not agreeing with your opinion does not constitute people not being interested in debate

You are right... that post doesn't make much sense. :/
I guess I was trying make the point that I see a hypocrisy openly playing out that irritates me, and Bamaguy was the scapegoat IMO.
I don't want to get into a heated debate about it... been there before. :)

Didn't take that long... he's been here less than 2 weeks. ;)

From memory he had over 150 posts :)

I also reread many of his posts and mixed in with some factual posts were quite biased opinionated ones as well
Nothing wrong with that

What irritated people is that every poster that disagreed was responded to with insults to their reading ability or intelligence
or just constant complaints that others didn't want open discussion
The truth was there was discussion but it didn't agree with his opinion

Nothing wrong with that either as long as you are prepared to take insults if you dish them out
Which he wasn't it seems
