I dunno what everyone's worried about - keep your eyes on the long game

I'm a buyer at these levels - not backing the Tonka up though, just slowly slowly catchee bitsy... ;)

Yes...that's the trick....keep your eyes on the long game! :P

The long game is... gold and silver..."real" money. ;)

I don't get bitcoin and have not been keen enough to try, but the comments made me look for a chart and you're probably familiar with the idea that bull markets can progress through 5 waves. Maybe 3 surges and 2 ebbs another way to describe it. Well dismissing that blip in 2011, I count this plunge as wave 4, or the second ebb? So maybe final wave 5, or third surge to come before most lose faith in this mania.

All data chart can be made here: http://bitcointicker.co/

The Schadenfreude in this thread is palpable.
Has silver so traumatised people here that watching Bitcoin fall is a pleasure?
All of a sudden, this board is filled with stackers that never post here.

Just in case there are people unfamiliar with http://bitcoinwisdom.com/ it's pretty darn good.

Interesting. I looked there and found this for the last two years

http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#rg1460ztgCzm1g10zm2g25zv

Which looks like Load of Bullion's charts:

Yup, I'm well aware that silver and Bitcoin are prone to bubbles. The charts and human experience of it all tell the story.

Bitcoin has been through heaps of them. The true wild west. Not for the faint of heart.

I will speak for myself, I'm not getting any sick pleasure out of it because I know people I like are hurting today.
I don't think jokes have a place in threads like this for that very reason, regardless, some of those that stayed out and got teased for doing so will feel a need to say "I told you so".

This was a PMs website, highjacked by gamblers, the old guard may feel a need to take a cheeky swipe - don't agree with it but whatever.

Me? I'm here because it's truly fascinating to watch this unfold, and potentially buy in (although it is now apparent that is not wise).

I always post here, but tonight it's more pleasurable than normal

The warnings fell on deaf ears weeks ago. If you couldn't see this coming then you deserve to experience another ass beating in the next bubble.
Not sorry at all for posting in this section on a precious metals forum.
Different mood now than 2 weeks ago huh?

Hey - let's get things into perspective here...

1) This board deals with multiple forms of assets and investments with their own dedicated forums.
2) Doing a search for "Bitcoin" across all forums, there are two in silver, one in gold and almost everything else in its dedicated Digital Currency forum.

I think this idea that Silver Stackers was "hijacked by gamblers" exists only in your head (and probably JulieW's as well).

You are quite happy for people to support, discuss and use Govt/Fed currencies on this forum. But take offence to an alternative.

I got interested in Gold over a decade ago because of my intolerance of Fed fiat. I support an option to it. Something with utility applicable to 20th century transactions.

It pleasures me to see them fall, because I sold mine (a little too early to be honest). :P

Earthjade well that settles a perfect record of being attacked for participating in any of the bitcoin threads. Bye.

I'm not offended at all, I'm looking for an in... what are you talking about? :/

Wouldn't be surprised if in a years time we will look back at both bitcoin and silver and around this time will show an inflection point of the top of BTC and the bottom in silver.
Lots of pirates have abandoned ship and headed for the bitcoins at the wrong time. Double loss for those fellas I say.
Sold out at a bottom and bought in at a top
