YAY $17 yay :D

Yeah, 17 $, but is it going to the Moon? There have been previous "bumps" and this is one of those vertical shoot-ups. I expected a climb.

Could it be this one? I don't know.

It might as well start dippin' soon. Wait until the end of the month.

USD index has to break below the support level of 88 for silver to keep climbing
its getting there it seems from 89.27 to 88.33 according to marketwatch

Predictions? Do we close above $17 or do we lose most of it in profit taking in the next couple hours? Do we even close higher on the day?

I say we close at $17.1x. Just enough to get people and TAs talking about silver.

It's this sort of action that Makes me wish I traded a little paper.

Yeah in a couple hours of trading. Where's that missed the boat on $16 silver thread where everyone pissed the guy and said he had plenty of time and should hold out for $14.50?

So what happened to 15USD Christmas?

Christmas is still faraway. We'll see what happens then.

I say, this is a "hick-up". These generally don't last.

If you bought some at 1150 USD and sold now, that is still a profit!

Same thing that happened to $2000 gold by year end. :) Think about the fact that we are in the seasonally strong period for pms. At this time in 2010, we were celebrating $30 silver and now people are celebrating getting back to $17 silver. Times have definitely changed.

I thought December was traditionally weak despite Indian demand?

And there goes $20.50aud. I always wonder how much psychological pressure in the market goes unnoticed when the price hits rounds figures in different currencies. Like people not realising why silver is resisting $18.55us when is down to the $15 euro round figure.

I am sure the selected time period heavily affects the pattern, but here is a 30 year silver chart. Mostly up for December. Xmas presents. :)
