I have used both Niton & Olympus XRF's. The Olympus XRF's, in my opinion, are WAY better than the Niton's. As an added bonus, the customer service is excellent. They will give you a loan XRF if there are any issues, the parts are of a better quality and I have found the testing to be more accurate.
starting from $20K a pop, isn't everyone's pocket money... isn't Sigma new PMV do the similar thing? only with no element value(s) of the analysed metal?

I guess PMV is only for solid/flat items where jewellery has density variation due to style/design.. I guess ddevil is pretty much said it all, the main purpose of use
