ABC got one for sale at around $1600. I got mine from there.
Didn’t know MPV does Palladium....
The ABC one is the older model that can be faked out fairly easily. Buyer beware.

Make sure you get the Pro model, it is far superior in the range of tests it does on the metal.Hey SS,

It's not a fake unit. The base model has flaws. The pro model is harder to fool.

not sure mate...I’ve been using this for yonks.... never had issues... perhaps user errors rather than flaws... this unit is better than my own judgment when buying metals, that’s I’m sure of.

Totally agree, but certain alloys used in fakes get a pass from the standard sigma. The pro measures more variables and is harder to fool, that's all.
At the time I bought mine the pro didn't exist unfortunately

Vouch that! It was the best unit in affordable price... and still is... note that the pro unit is not mobile friendly...SiGMA has also produced ‘mobile’ unit now, but not as good as the original I think...but I can’t confirm this as I’m not planning to buy new one..

Not fake units, just older ones that can be fooled with fake coins/bars. Big difference.
Big difference on price too...
The first time it spots a fake that would otherwise have been missed, it pays for itself.
Also not as big as you might think, I bought my pro for not much more than ABC are selling the older version. The key difference is not so much money as time. 2-3 month lead time for the Pro, whereas you can own a v1 tomorrow if you want.

The pro travels well, it comes in a hard travel case 38 x 30 cm 
I got mine direct from sigma, the link has been added on the last page. It slipped through and did not have to pay duty.

If you do 1KG bars of silver ( or gold ) this is the set up you need with the external wand for the large bars

The pro measures completely through the sample and not just the surface like the early version . Also confirms metal density with specific gravity. With these extra tests the early version does not it makes it hard to fool.
