Somehow no-one seems to care about Venezuela. Reminds me of Zimbabwe...
But besides food and medicine, bare necessities, there's really not much to do about their economy. Perhaps they should adopt the euro or the dollar. That would kind-of save them and strengthen either the eurozone of the petrodollar system (such a paradox!).
Needless to say that they're so deep down the pit with the 500 % inflation, terribly low salaries and lack of goods that there's really not much to do with their economy.
It's worrying to think that if this happened to the US/Europe/Australia, then no-one could get those countries out of the mess.
Look at Greece (small country, though... almost a decade in crisis!)... the bigger countries could faller deeper, I reckon.
Then it could last a generation to get out of the pit. Who knows how long that could last.
