WHO has had/having getting bullion shipped out of the country?

Years ago when transporting silver bullion from Melbourne to Sydney via Air I was pulled aside in Sydney into an interview room where it was explained to me that they could not distinguish via X-ray the difference between Silver bars and certain types of explosives. They appeared the same.Once unpacked and examined they were satisfied and allowed me to travel on.
That was my experiance and a recount of it, i make no conclusions otherwise as to their logic or reason.

Same!

I was on my way to ANDA in Brisbane from Sydney with a 15kg carry on limit carrying silver. Had to go to a private interview room where they had to handle every individual bar.

What a bummer, I've enjoyed receiving quite a few old bars from Australians over the years, never a bad experience. I wonder if NZ has or will soon have similar restrictions imposed . . .
