Who actually cares about daily spot price?

How do you know where you are going, if you don't know where you've been?
The answer depends on whether you are a Frequentist or a Bayesianist.

If you don't know where you're going, you may end up somewhere else.

So there are people here who are trying to convince themselves they don't care what their investment is worth?
You're either rolling in dosh or incredibly careless.

wake up call needed -
would your day change if you found or lost a $50 bill? now keep in mind how little spot has to move to replicate that.

You answered your question to me perhaps by relating to your own situation?

So yes I am rolling in cash and no my day would not change if I lost a $50 bill :) I loose dosh all the time buying premium silver "for enjoyment" :) lol

1 lost pineapple wasn't the point I was trying to convey, more the fact that it's stupid not to think about losses or gains (if you're invested in something for $ gains).
You shouldn't hold anything that you don't care about. Forgetting and hoping for the best is beyond stupid, especially with metals given their daily movements.

If you don't care about an investment on a daily basis and you're investing for "enjoyment" then it is my strong opinion that you cease investing and leave your money in a high interest account.
That's just my silly opinion however, excuse me while I go count my pennies - i'm hungry.

It drives me mad when people say they only count ounces and don't care about the dollar price, what nonsense. Unless you're paid in silver then you need to pay attention to the spot if you want to add more ounces to your stack. If you buy ounces at $22 you're going to get 10% more than at $24.20.

no plata no ounces

people can not care too much about spot, since that they holding "the silver bag", all fiat have been spent and the ounces if they can carry the bag :) no holes

i dont all I care about is it has travelled pretty much sideways fr 2 years now

<-----------------------SIDEWAYS -------------------------------------------------------->

2 years ago the spot was around $27. I suppose that could look sideways if you were squinting REALLY hard and also didn't care very much about being right. What's $6.50 an ounce between friends right?

I hope it keeps going SIDEWAYS with a gradual upward slant rather than this downward slant we have been experiencing.

Some people hold the foolish faith-belief that silver still functions as money the world over. So long as you have that sort of unsound beliefs, you will have people who will believe in anything including that Jesus lives in a burnt piece of toast and whatever else.
