Where To..

According to SSale's analysis, T/A indicated the most probable price outcome given the market setup at the time, which he publicly suggested.
Where is this analysis you speak of?
Mmmm... maybe I read his mind... :D

Nonetheless, I see no other way to analyse BTC.
If there is, please let me know.
I'd like to know what other method of analysis arrived at an opposing view to a price decline in this instance?
I bet I don't get an answer to this either.

The news coming out of China since late last year from Alibaba along with the following Gov't crackdown on financial institutions had no effect then ? Money laundering charges, etc etc ?

I would take this rebuttal seriously, if it weren't for post #99. As you imply yourself, a move like that is unlikely "based on one news story".

Well it got nowhere near your predictions yet. Up 5% today which is a looong way from $150 don't you think? Gotta wonder why so gleeful about a fairly moderate correction based on one news story.

I have asked similar in other threads in this subforum (how do you put a price / value on Bitcoin) and have had no real answer.

I don't really have an opinion on where the price of Bitcoin is going.

I also think there is a lot of truth to your posts about T/A, I think it has value. It's the study of an assets historical price which can reveal the behaviours of those investors who are buying and selling it. I find it a useful tool at times.

I don't think last nights collapse & recovery had much of anything to do with T/A though.

And I don't think users who make wild calls without posting the analysis behind them are particularly useful. I have plenty of respect for the traders on this forum such as yourself, thatguy & others who actually provide some content such as how you see the setup, support, resistance, etc.
Fair enough.
And thanks Bullion Barron - that is a fair statement.

I am going to leave this thread alone now.... don't know why I got so involved?
Not even my argument... and it could go round and round forever.

:)

So just where was the T/A to back a claim of a drop to $150 dollars ? SS was practically high fiving himself over a series of abject failures in predictive skill that have lasted near on a month.
Blind freddy could of seen some turmoil coming with the near daily news story's coming out of governments cracking down on financial institutions messing with bitcoin and associated criminal activity.

$350 ? nowhere near it, $150 ????? and we are supposed to recognize some prescient skill while he carps on about cannon fodder and so on ?

Don't get me wrong it was quite entertaining, but let's call it for what it was huh ?

I thought I was calling it for what it was.... a good call. That is all.
Why was it good?, because it was a tad outrageous, it was delivered publicly ahead of time, and it came to fruition.
I understand the disbelief from others (well... not really), and that's OK. But I viewed the mob mentality presence as a little too strong, and I tend to be drawn to defending the underdog (and T/A) - it is a psychological issue I have. :P
He was being howled down for being laughably wrong, now he is being howled down for being outrageously right.

Signing off.

Somebody should start a comp predicting btc prices weekly.

Suggested categories Higher, Lower or Sideways.

All the regular hecklers think the drop is finished! :D :D :D
Well, I sold the majority of my LTC for a couple of video cards.

So I hope you're right - kinda.

Sometimes I'm fascinated by SilverSale.
I say this with all seriousness - I think he has a mental disorder. There's some kind of violent pathological need for validation from strangers, which is this odd mix of having people recognise his merit whilst at the same time denigrating them as idiots.
If a psychiatric report was ever made on him, I'd give up half a lunchbreak to read it.

Histrionic Personality Disorder.
They crave any kind of attention, good or bad, like a drug.

Couple that with low self esteem and you get someone who not only needs to be praised but feeds off negativity as well.

Well back to the topic... does bitcoin looks like it's on it's way back down again ?

I'm not a chartist but it seems to be slowly trending lower again

EarthJade... the man I advised to not buy silver when he first joined in 2011... :D Nuff said. lol

Actually... you are lashing out as a result of holding a dud investment for years.

..but lets get back to Bitcoin :)

Here's a chart I've knocked up with my thoughts. I don't know how accurate it will be, but I'm gonna be conservative rather than chasing the bottom.

I took this screenshot this morning.

Just looking at the big picture, it appears to be following the channel fairly accurately.
If it reaches the lower channel line within the next month where the Green blob (Buy Signal) is,
then we could very well see your outcome of the floor being $360 - $380.

Gox is always going to be low because their exchange has been neutered. But this doesn't mean that other prices will necessarily go down to their levels.
Go with the BTC-e price.
