I've seen a few people write this and I just don't understand why. I bought as many as I could, sold them and now have twice as many oz's to show for it. Not buying something simply because it is "hyped" or there is "mania" doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. Profit is profit whether it be a 10oz bar bought for $400 and sold for $440 or 20 dragons bout for $980 and sold for $1900. Out of those two options I know which I'd choose every time.

Do you think that dragons will continue to appreciate in value? Personally I wouldn't be buying them at current prices of 2-3 times spot and expecting any kind of quick profits. YMMV.

you may not buy them...but there are people that will..and still do even after this crash

i agree 100% with elemental....profit is profit. This was a good opportunity for stackers to 'double up' and make their fiat dollars go further. especially those that stack bit by bit each month...maybe after their rent and bills and family is looked after etc. Some people don't know a profit when smacks them in the face.

Don't like ripping off stackers? put it on ebay...plenty of non forum people to buy your dragons.

Sales of Dragons on eBay seemed to have stalled.
I think the general population are a bit too scared to be throwing their money at them for the moment!

I think/hope people write that meaning they have not bought any 1oz dragons at secondary market prices.

There was certainly no reason not to buy 1oz dragons at issue prices, and anyone who did buy at issue prices would be happy with their purchase

This to me makes sense - I wouldn't buy at secondary prices. What I can't understand is people being so unprepared. We all knew there was going to be massive demand for these and anyone could have got online or on the phone and ordered a roll of twenty. I live in Perth and had to do this anyway to secure more than one roll as we were only able to get one on release day. My proximity had nothing to do with registering either. I looked into the requirements, created my account online and registered at the post office all without ever going in to the mint. I even made a purchase before hand to familiarise myself with the purchase process. Anyone in Australia could have done the same. My wife got an account and a roll, I got one on the day, I got one online and my business bullion account also purchased one online.

Other people have written as to profiting on stupidity so all I'll say is I consider people on here educated investors capable of making their own investment decisions.

In terms of the current pricing and availability, that's what is so great about this forum/community - there are threads pointing you to places where you can buy at around $60. This is around or less than the going price for ox and tigers and I've never seen comment about this being a stupid price for those coins.

I'm not speaking about the issue price market, but the laughable secondary market.

But that's another discussion.

I guess supply and demand is laughable then
No one if forcing the buyers to buy

Oh no, you misquote me there.

Apart from the laughable hypocracy on stackers gouging the living shit out of stackers to pay speculative premium prices on collectables up front after nearly staging a riot over the fact a Sydney dealer advertised their dragons for $90 a pop pre-sale, I talk about the fact there are people out there willing to actually pay these prices on a guess the premium of 2-3x spot will increase even further in years to come.

That's before we even rationalise the lost opportunity cost in simply going for more ounces.

The dragon market is easily the most over hyped silver bullion market I've seen since I started stacking.

Look at the prices people are expected to pay for even Pamp carded bars and there was resistance to even that... then compare to what people are willing to pay for a 'limited edition' bullion coin and you just have to shake your head and laugh at it all.

The reason why I wanted not to comment on this is because I know people here are looking to cash in on the mania and still have coins to sell, but if people want to be snide and sarcastic about it all then I can lay the cards out on the table over the whole saga and completely piss a lot of you off.

I assure you, the logic and rationale behind my decisions makes a whole lot of damn sense that a number of opportunists here absolutely don't want the potential buyer to be aware of.

So I stand by my position. Absolutely no 1oz dragons in the secondary market for auspm and absolutely no intention of getting any at above issue price (so I won't be buying any 1oz dragons at all).

The 2 oz Dragons look cool and they are a nice size.
Price is almost the same as the 1 oz.
Found out that there are 5 in a tube of clear wrap so keeps the capsules free of scratches also.
