the things i regret are coins that turned out to be cleaned. i learned that if a deal is too good to be true, it is. i now have a lovely isabella quarter and a remarkable barber half that are neither here nor there, that is, not scrap, not high end, and nobody really wants them for any value. the other things were some ounces - they were a random assortment, the cheapest the dealer offered. i was more paranoid at the time so i thought we'd be spending ounces of silver sooner than later. and i looked at my stack and realized i didn't have anything that could ever enter into common currency. anyway, i bet people have similar, and probably more outrageous stories, i'd be interested to hear!
