What tax, import, duty fees do you pay when you import?

Just wondering what fees you guys pay if you import thousands of dollars of coins from another country?

From what I hear you do not have to pay GST but you do have to pay an import fee, but not sure if its a set fee or is a percentage of the total price?

Would there be a difference between importing $2000 worth of coins vs $10,000?

Would be interested to know as could possibly import.
 
On bars, silver coins, and collectibles (stated price much higher than bullion price) you risk a 5% customs duty.

There shouldn't be any difference between 2k and 10k, except that if it's silver the larger volume and weight will be more likely to attract the customs officers' attention, I guess.
