What should a 1 oz silver coin or round weigh in grams

My coins so far all weigh 31+ grams but one recent buy only weighs 30+ grams is this normal for a round that is not from a major mint?

Thanks:)

A troy oz should weigh 31.12 grams. Check you calibration of your scales by getting a known weight for calibration. If your dealing with a very small mint or hand poured bars then weight variation is more likely to occur than if your dealing with a major recognised mint.

All my other buys are over 31 with some over 31.12 on my scales this one is a generic round weighing in at at 30.9 so not that far off to worry? Its only a 1oz one off for me so I wont need to ever sell it on and I trust the seller but its a NWO 2009 first strike so there will be plenty of fakes around I should imagine.

Even though scales have two decimal places on the gram doesn't make them that accurate. Under 31grams and you might want to test it further though.

Buys from reputable dealers and sources.

I did but it is under weight coming in at 30.9 grams, could be my scales but all my other coins are over 31 grams when weighed at the same time as this coin.

Not too fussed as its a keeper, silver or expensive medallion.:D

Must be buying some cheap bullion, what do you expect?
Bet you non of them have precise measurement.

All the others weighed alongside were Perth mint from Perth mint so yes i suppose cheap bullion is what i should expect:)

Its not what is expected. You got ripped off, by a little tiny bit. But that is wrong- what rounds are these?

2009 NWO first strike. my scales are out because most of my 1oz weigh just over 1 troy and this just under, perhaps these coins were slightly under weight?
