What is the most recognized bullion from US, UK, Europe

Interested in buying gold bullion (1/2 oz to 2.5 oz or gram equivalent) from US, UK, and Europe.

What items should i be most interested in - ie. which are the most universally recognized and accepted
in Asia.

Thanks for any pointers.
 
Most Asians wear their gold as a safe haven in jewellery .. So buy it in Asia and keep your receipts for trade . They don't trust outside gold
I guess china has a influence on this with fakes. Good luck

Definitely can't go wrong with 22k gold bangles, loved by Asians, Arabs and indians/Pakistanis wherever you are in the world. Can sell to a jeweller in a hurry for cash.

Will add that a solid gold ring like available from goldstackers isn't a bad idea either.

Correct me if i am wrong but coins are not bullion. And Gold dealers wont accept jewellery. I'm after gold bullion bars from US, UK, Europe that will be accepted on sight at bullion dealers in Tokyo, Singapore, HongKong etc.

Anything stamped with LBMA or Good Delivery will do the job then. Not going to find it in your sizes though.

Good Delivery is typically 1000grams and larger I believe. I don't think Asian markets trust Perth mint, although Asian expats here love it. Hard to suggest what might suit your needs best. I would yearn towards ABC Cast buttons but doubt they have much recognition overseas.

Honestly don't know what to suggest besides previous bullion coins. What's your purpose for seeking non Asian bullion for Asian markets?

Visit your local dealers, see what they like. Ask your clients what they can get in europe. Voila.

I'm surprised there isnt a few simple obvious answers though - would have expected some national "standards" recognized globally
 
Maybe PAMP bars are what you're after. Easily bought in Europe and US, and I'm sure any Japanese dealer worth his salt would buy back.

Only international gold standard that matters is LBMA good delivery bars, which are typically larger than a couple ounces. I reckon PAMP suisse Certicards would be the go in your sizes.

PAMP was the only name i could come up with off the top of my head - so i will take a look at that and the other info you mentioned - thanks for the pointers.

Does anyone know if numismatics are more resistant to import duties (claiming face value rather than Pm value)?
I'm guessing no way - customs will always treat as the highest value categorization.

Numismatics = Collectors item = More likely to face import duties
Bullion = Precious Metal = May not have duties, but is country dependent. many countries now tax gold and silver.
 
I was in a bullion shop in Singapore today called BullionStar.com They buy and sell gold maples, kangaroos, britannias, philharmonics, buffalos etc etc. In terms of bars they buy and sell gold PAMP, Heraeus, Royal Canadian Mint, Perth Mint and others. Check out the spreads on their website to see what they would pay closest to spot for.
