I am not sure of the age of these spoons, so I could be in the wrong forum.

I am wondering if these are solid silver, or plated.

They look like a set, but two of these spoons are marked "silver" on the back.

Any thoughts? are there any "at home" test methods?

I found a good magnet. Happy to say the spoons didn't stick, but some of the EPSN spoons I have also didn't. So still not conclusive.

I picked up nearly 1000 spoons today from a tender bid I made. I only put a bid on them as I liked a display box that was included, and thought I might get lucky with a silver spoon or two.

I am so sick of spoons now lol
 
I got my hands on a neodymium magnet today. the two spoons marked "silver" did the slow slide thing, while the others in the set didn't.

Strange it's a mixed set, as they look to be a complete set.
 
Maybe you can take it to an appraiser or pawnshop? If it sticks to a magnet, it is not silver. You can also do ice test on the cutlery - silver items feel cold in 10 seconds or more.
 
Invest in an acid test?

If you have thousand of them, I doubt a pawn shop would want it, unlikely to be a big seller lol at. Apwawn shop.

If they bought it to refine, I doubt they would give anywhere near spot, bearing in mind, they would have to onsell and each step of the chain would need a profit.
