What did you buy today , of the non PM range

Bought a jetski today :/

Couldn't justify any more currency being put into PM's... time to enjoy life for a bit. Got plans for some Island hopping trips, fishing (salt & dams) and wave work when the cyclones come ;-)

(Hello mid-life crisis  )

My first piece of "ART"
At the local Salvo's $5 ,I was only after the frame ,
I went to pull it apart to replace the picture & I noticed it was framed at the local framing shop & it wouldn't have been cheap
So looked at the signature & with a little help from that evil search engine that knows everything

I envy you. I can't eat cheese anymore. Became lactose intolerant.

1 Bite of that and I would produce a smell that would make a maggot gag.
I've emptied entire shearing sheds.
Smells even worse than the cheese :P

Picked this limited edition print at the local salvo store
But I can't find anything about the print or the COA that come with it , but for $5
It will look good hanging on the wall

Bought the young fella a Marklin train set. Great quality, solid metal locomotive, very detailed carriages. Hours of fun spent together.

Marklin is a very old German toy company, with factories in Germany and Hungary. The set I bought was made in Hungary.

Every other toy train manufacturer has off sourced to china.

At $700 my set wasn't cheap but I deliberately wanted to avoid Chinese crap. And yes the Chinese made Hornsby sets at $400 are much inferior.

Not a bad mornings worth today
Some more vinyl , The Exploited & Redgum albums
A plastic friction toy beetle made in China but it's 1960's , another dealer friend has one & wouldn't sell it to me for $50 , I paid $8 for this one :D
A pair of repro Durant style mirrors paid $20 for the pair they sell for $150 a pair
And a new it's box 1950's sterling silver mechanical pencil

As a fountain pen and writing instrument admirer I really like that mechanical pencil made in the USA.

How much did you pick it up for if you don't mind me asking?

Big dollars in writing equipment.

An original box of original (Vintage) Gilliot 303 nibs routinely go for hundreds in cash or trade. I saw a Fairchild No.7 "Bishops Hat for $600 on eBay.
Don't get me started on vintage typewriters :)

Cool. Only have a couple modern stipula Italian celluloid nitrate fpens real Works of art with silver detailing and gold tipped nibs.

Some of the vintage pens eg Omas arco paragon are to die for.
