What capsule for a oz Armenian Noah's Ark coin?

I have some of these fractional Noah's Ark ounce coins and I'm looking for really small capsules for them. Does anyone know if there any capsules that are readily available that would hold this coin?

Coin size for the is oz on the Geiger site states the size is 20,2 mm. Would that mean a 21mm capsule would be better?

Yes.

But I hate those gaskets..

Would a box of 250 suffice..? :D

Just do a search for the A21 size. Plenty in the US, anyway..

Just not sure how much of the coin's thickness these capsules could accommodate.

Even better, people will finally wake up to how special the Noah's Ark coins are and demand will skyrocket!

Will you be getting the upcoming 1/3-oz version, due out in 2016? Rumor has it that there will also be a 5/16th! ;)

In all seriousness, it made a lot more sense back when Ag coins were commonly used as legal tender. I've got a few old slabbed pieces like a half-crown & 50 centesimos, for examples, which are really cool, with a diameter still big enough to enjoy without a loupe. But I won't go lower, even though there are some really cool ones in the 10- & 20-cent equivalents (in relation to a particular country's "dollar").. Just too small for my tastes, and not a large-enough market, in my eyes, should it ever come time to sell.

Modern fractionals are better left for Au, IMO, which is more understandable due to spot. And even then, a good cut-off might be 1/4-oz minimum.

But, to each his own.

Don't get me started on this 1/20th & smaller stuff.. :rolleyes:

Noah's Ark Silver Coin - Quick Facts and Brief History

Type Bullion (Investors) and Numismatic (Collectors)
Mintage Annually since 2011 by Geiger Edelmetalle GmbH, a private mint in Germany
Weights / Denominations 1/4 troy ounce (100 dram face value)
1/2 troy ounce (200 dram)
1 troy ounce (500 dram)
2 troy ounces (1,000 dram)
10 troy ounces (5,000 dram)
1 kilogram (10,000 dram)
5 kilograms (20,000 dram)

Front Design Designed by Armenian artist Eduard Kurghinyan, the obverse of the coin features the Armenian coat of arms a lion and an eagle along with the face value in drams (the country's official currency), the year of mintage, the coin's purity, and the amount of silver in troy ounces. Engraved along the edge is the state title of Armenia in both English and the ancient Armenian script.
Rear Design The reverse commemorates one of the most beloved stories in Christian and Armenian culture: the Biblical account of Noah's ark. The ark is shown floating on the receding flood waters at the base of Mount Ararat, with a dove holding an olive branch in its beak flying in the foreground. Circling the image is the inscription NOAH'S ARK in both English and Armenian.
Brief History The Republic of Armenia is situated amidst a mountainous landscape at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. For centuries, Christianity has been (and still is) at the heart to Armenia's ancient cultural heritage. The small country was founded by two of Jesus' apostles, Thaddeus and Bartholomew, according to local tradition. In 301 A.D. Armenia became the first country in the world to adopt Christianity as its official religion. Mount Ararat, where it is said Noah's Ark came to rest after the Great Flood (Genesis 7 and 8), is located in Armenia, giving the country strong ties to the Old Testament scene depicted on the coin.
Why buy?
Unlike other commemorative coins released by Armenia in the past, silver coins like the Noah's Ark are being marketed as a bullion investment, too. Therefore, it is intended to compete with the U.S. Silver Eagle, the Canadian Maple Leaf, the Austrian Philharmonic, and other popular silver bullion coins from around the world. Not to mention, physical silver offers investors a less expensive way to diversify their portfolio and improve the long-term stability of their finances compared to buying gold.

1/2 troy ounce Noah's Ark silver coin
Diameter = 27.66 mm (1.09 in.)
Fineness = 99.9%

I do have 20 mm Quadrum Capsules.

I got hold of a few different used capsules. What I've found is that the height of this coin means it doesn't fit the usual capsule. The two halves wont seal.

Here it is next to a round 1966 50c:

But it did fit in an old screw capsule:

Here it is next to some regular capsules that wouldn't hold it:

So that's one down, and many more to go:

I do have 20 mm Quadrum Capsules.

The issue seems to be the hight of this coin which is 2.5 mm. I've got a few boxes of Quadrum capsules here (not 20 mm though). I should if they can handle it.
