What are your thoughts about buying loose 1gram Swiss gold bars.

I'm keen what's the shipping on a strip of say 5 - 6 to Canada gonna run me?

I have $13.20 for registered from Australia post.
Less than $2.50 unregistered airmail.

Looks like a winner Steve. I don't think they could sell these things if they didn't break up properly.
Keen to see what the 100g silver version looks like in the flesh.

I'd also buy one complete sheet for the novelty and/or SHTF scenario. Wouldn't be buying 1g bars though.

As you are happy to sell these in grams at a time to help the poorer amongst us are you also going to operate an allocated storage so I can buy a decent amount over a month or two and then only pay one lot of postage?
Cheers

Cat out of the bag :/

I am not against 1gram bars, and I don't think most people are either, what they are against is the hefty premiums they demand :)

If I can get 1gram gold bars cheap I will be all over them.

Will be selling these bars in any size that suits my customers. They can buy a 50 x 1gram block, a strip of 10, 5 or just a single bar.
Steve, you have my ears pricked up, most definitely! I think many folks are looking at gold, and in some cases the "buy in" of fractional gold involves too much of a premium, the larger pieces (1/2, 1oz etc) are OK premium-wise, but then cause folks to shy away, because you're looking at a hefty buy in. Which is where, and why, I think some gravitate toward silver - it's more affordable, especially for those wanting to buy small amounts on a regular basis (something I personally would like to start, but looking at gold premiums on say a 1/10oz makes me pause for thought).

With these available (and depending on one's own ratio preferences), it will make it possible, easy and simple to buy small fractional gold, with a reasonable premium in a recognised format.

11/10 points, I like it, I love it, and from me, you could look forward to regular (but not large) orders. That would apply to gold mainly, though I'd likely get some silver in this format too, simply because of it's easy divisibility if SHTF and bartering is needed.

Please let us know if/whan you decide on stocking these please :)

Damn I should patent my ideas!

Good to hear, I could probably stretch to a few grams a week if I don't have to continually fork out for postage. I could even pick it up if I happen to travel to wherever you are!

I would be up for some.
If the S did HTF these would be a perfect size for every day use. Not sure how you would go filling the car or shopping bag and expecting change from an oz of gold.
Perfect for gifts and a great way to get the kids started.
Affordable for those of us who cant buy by the oz's (yet).:D
