It's crazy though, I think with the internet being based in the states, they are closer to the box so would have priority connection.

Oh, at the start when it worked that estimated wait time thing said 1 minute and took maybe two.

79 minutes? your connection will probably time out before that anyway.
 
Think about this though. This just means the demand is there. If you manage to get out with a coin it will definitely be worth it.

It might simply mean their website and billing system can't handle more than 5 people at once.

For my 2011 silver eagle anniversary sets from the US Mint it was just as bad, it's nice to see incompetence on a global scale...I was just blaming our mint :)

143 min wait time here. If I shut it all down to get some shut eye does it email me through confirmation? Or do I lose out completely?

I just made it all the way through the wait time only to be told invalid mintage. In other words, sold out!

There is nothing else to do after the countdown - it just announces success (or not) and an email sent. Go to bed now. Nothing else to do.
