i took a fairly large position on these north korean .925 coins, my local dealer buys them for spot and ive seen them get a nice premium on ebay, i can also sell back to the large online dealer that i purchased them from. just wondering what the popularity of north korean coins are over there.

If they are legit, I'm going on record for saying they are fucking gorgeous.

Love them!

These look like kinda cool coins, although I am not a big fan of 925. I would be interested at close to spot. I dont think many people are aware of these myself included. It seems like they must be kind of hard to get ,N korea is a strange country , I am suprised many of these get exported . What country are you buying them from? and is the any info on mintage limits?

I'm actually a pretty big fan of 925 silver. Highly under rated IMHO.

could not find any mintage numbers on the,. got them here in the us at apmex for .50 over melt when silver was $31, worked out to around $29.10 each

they seem to get mixed reviews when i mention them, some guys are dead set about never owning anything from N.K.

i figure if my local guy gives me spot then silver really is silver

Well that's it, isn't it?

Suggesting silver (or gold) has political affiliation is simply stupid, a sign of how dumb (even some stackers) can be.

Like I said, the only caveat I have is that it's legit and verifiable as representing what it is.

Are they intended to be circulating coins? 925 makes a lot of sense there (as does 22k gold).

i dont have a problem collecting north korean coins. i have some colored pandas, a dragon and some coins celebrating the 2000 sydney olympics.

I think they look OK, but I wouldn't buy any just not my thing, however there seems to be enough interest good score :)

I wouldnt trust North Korea as far as i could spit .They are probably radioactive or treated with some chemical warfare agent  Paranoid? Who me ?

I dont buy a country's coins/products if I despise their regimes. That's what I dont touch the Somali elephants and I wouldnt buy a north korean anything, an Iranian anything etc etc...

Fractional Reserve Banking is also a regime (?!) so are you gonna stop buying fiat money ?!

( assuming FRB is a regime, and you despise FRB ).

So N Korean coins at $0.50 over melt when silver spot was in low $30 ?!

I think its a great buy ( irrespective of what country has issued them )

the fact that they are from N Kor can only cause them to be worth more in the future.
