Ways to save money to allow you to BUY MORE METALS

Personally, I would not sacrifice many lifestyle choices for PMs, but I'm still young and reckless (middle age denial)
The way that works pretty well for me is:

NEVER SPEND A $5 NOTE.

Try it.
stack high!

Was looking for this thread last week... Started putting away any $5 and $10 notes inbetween the pages of a book after reading Errol's post. On my fourth book now. All them 200 pages or more! Don't know what I did with all those notes before

all i can offer is what weve done recently

sell two V8's buy one 2.0l diesel and 1 motorbike
stop gambling
stop buying smokes, OP's only
stop using credit card

used books store 'want to buy wish list' books that pages in between has hidden some fiat notes :)

by the kilos by the way, exchanging the kilos for silver

Are you sure it's house sitter? Kind of sounds like international burglar

Duh, it's like the third thing you'd do after eating the Nutella out of the jar and getting naked.

Shaving with a straight razor/safety razor is a good way to save money. I started shaving with them just to save more money. Buying the equipment is going to cost you about $150-$200. It costs me a maximum of $20 a year to buy new razors and shaving soap/cream. Sometimes i spend less than that. You still get the baby smooth shave that everyone likes but it will take a little practice to get there. So in the short run it's going to cost you some money but in the long run it's going to save you tons of money. More silver ;) or maybe more money to pay bills with.

I gave it a go...but require 'the fools pass' to feel like I've had a proper shave. Ultimately, I like my nose where it is.

Use Washing up Liquid to clean your hands when working on the car.. Just as good as hand cleaning liquid from the auto shop. Just a little saving but it all adds up.. Borrow from the kitchen when no on is looking> :)

I save money on soap/toothpaste by not bathing or brushing my teeth.

As an added benefit, I don't get invited to parties or social gatherings so I don't have to fork out for expensive gifts or restaurant bills.

Add sugar to it, instant swarfega! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swarfega

Granulated not icing, I should say, gives a nice bit of abrasion to grind the dirt out and it doesn't block your sink up.
