Wavy 20c coin

Hi gcsun,
Not all, they are unsure of the mintage but it would be very low, I would be keeping it if it were mine, great find!

Added edit: the top line of the horizontal part of the "2" forms a crest (convex) rather than being perfectly horizontal and the crest causes the water ripple above it to be concave, this probably makes no sense! There should be some good pictures on google or ebay.

Blake.

Thanks, yeah mine is not wavy then haha :(

1966 still worth hanging onto or worth the face value? Anyone want it cheap?

Hi gcsun,
If it is in uncirculated condition I would keep it but other than that set it free, they crop up every now and then in change.

hi yes its london mint. The base of the legend (letters) on the obverse is scrolled too. The top wave above the baseline on the reverse looked a different tone to the rest of the coin, i guess lighting. so to me,, it looked knocked a bit later on.

nice score in any condition and very collectable, its one of the key Australian decimal error coins

Reserve bank rolls are the ones to look for in the 1966 London mint 20c error

So are normal 1966 20c worth more than 20c?

UNC condition they are worth around $25 circulated coin in good nick $5-$10. P:(roof up to $60.

Are we talking any 66s 20 ? I have a few. No London mint :(
Well this cant beat my $1 mule estimate value $2000

found four 1966 20c in my hoard today. worn beyond grading on that side. to bad.

I guess you have one of these. Anyway you must be blessed.
No point if you have none. I mean if you have then you are blessed.
Cos I have a few mules , guess I m blessed with it. No need to find it hard to search for them.
It jus like winning lotteries.

Hi Austacker,
I have a few of the 2004 pointy A's, very underrated I think, they should command a higher price as they are hard to find, I have maybe found 4 in $2000 worth of 20 cent pieces.
I didn't know there was a 2005 pointed A.
I keep anything pre-1974 but need to ditch out the worn stuff.
Still searching for an incused Millenium 50 cent piece, saw one at the recent ANDA show for $100, was UNC but wandered off to look at around and came back and it was gone, should of grabbed it right away.

10,000 20 cent pieces to sort through, be sure not to get a bad case of nickel poisoning now won't you :)
