Should 'we' be stacking Water and Food?
Bill Gates, Rockefeller, Syngenta and the GMO giants invest in "Doomsday Seed Vault". Do they know something 'we' don't?
Should you be concerned about breaking your local laws if stacking water or food? (both Australia and USA have anti hoarding laws in place - check your local government to find out how much you can 'hoard').
Australia produces more than twice the amount of food we consume, and there is real concern lower levels of foreign investment would lead to lower food production, and this could result in higher food prices.
Perhaps, water and food are the best investments, and a sure thing with no 'bubble' in sight.

A new report suggests the United Nations take control of the world's food and water. We'd write this off as a joke except the Obama administration seems to like the idea of global government.
Agenda 21:The UN's Proposal to Control the World's Food and Water Supplies
The aim is to bring this new agenda to the June 2012 Rio+20 Conference of the United Nations, under the familiar blanket of "sustainable development". This is the latest amendment to the Agenda 21 plan that has been sweeping the globe for decades; leaving only destitution and havoc in its wake. These guidelines will undoubtedly become the new mandates we will see coming from the US government, the talking points from the corporately funded media and any other facet that is used to convince the average citizen that giving up their freedom is worth it if we are saving the planet.
An overhaul of how the Earth's food and water are resourced and distributed to the populace will be discussed as an "urgent need" to keep up with feeding and hydrating the supposed fast growing world population.
These are essentially austerity measures which is code for planned poverty. The goal of creating a complete dependence of the world's population on the government is an endgame for the UN's Agenda 21. Total submission is required, and taken unwillingly if necessary.

From the White House
President alone has the authority to take over all resources in the nation (labor, food, industry, etc.) as long as it is done "to promote the national defense"
[...]
(1) the Secretary of Agriculture with respect to food resources, food resource facilities, livestock resources, veterinary resources, plant health resources, and the domestic distribution of farm equipment and commercial fertilizer;
(2) the Secretary of Energy with respect to all forms of energy;
(3) the Secretary of Health and Human Services with respect to health resources;
(4) the Secretary of Transportation with respect to all forms of civil transportation;
(5) the Secretary of Defense with respect to water resources; and
(6) the Secretary of Commerce with respect to all other materials, services, and facilities, including construction materials.

20th Jan 2012
They say that food, water, clothing and shelter are the most basic of human needs.
Investors apparently agree about the first two. Many food and beverage (ok, not water but name one drink that doesn't have H2O as an ingredient) companies are near 52-week highs.

President Obama addresses the Symposium on Global Agriculture and Food Security, 18th May 2012
President Obama delivered the opening keynote on May 18 to the Symposium on Global Agriculture and Food Security in Washington, D.C. The event precedes the G8 summit Saturday May 20 at Camp David, where leaders will meet to discuss the challenge of feeding a growing world.
The focus of the event underscores how food security remains a major challenge: The U.S. government's Feed the Future initiative says that global hunger and chronic malnutrition are two of the greatest development challenges today. To meet growing demand, world agriculture production will need to double over the next 18 years. And, while a rapidly growing population makes the challenge of food security a moving target, increasingly limited natural resources also increase the need for more creative solutions that effectively produce more food with less land, water and other resources.
How does Australia fair with foreign owned farms/agriculture?
However, this does not take into consideration farmers bank rolled by foreign investors, as is common place with many small businesses and pty ltd companies.The results of the ABS ownership survey were released in September 2011 and showed that 99 per cent of agricultural businesses, 89 per cent of agricultural land and 91 per cent of water entitlements were entirely Australian owned.
