I've moved onto watches lately

Just picked up the orange Seiko on the left
My favourite is the Citizen Eco Drive Chrono in the middle
And it all started with the Omega Sea Master on the right

Here's one as a matter of interest:

Chuck Pesty was known to all in Corn Corners, Oregon as a real problem child, even though he was an adult. The local "Suds & Beef" had barred him from entering their pub as he was always getting drunk and "blowing beef at the Suds & Beef". His long suffering mother, Blanche, purchased Chuck a really well kept CYMA wrist watch with the hopes he would change his way but Chuck told her neither wanted a watch or know the time of day. Through the years Blanche saw to it that the unworn, by Chuck, CYMA wrist watch was maintained and well kept as her son, Chuck, became a member of a strange cult known as the "Banana Heads". The members, all 10 of them, thought of the banana as an object to be admired and cared for. On special occasions they all wore bright yellow banana type suits and would swarm the local market purchasing all the bananas for their use only. One bright & sunny day the members all piled into a station wagon, with Chuck at the wheel, and wearing their banana suits headed for the big city. Tragedy struck at a railroad crossing as their vehicle was smashed to pieces by a freight train traveling at a rapid rate and the banana heads all lost their lives. Police Officer Fleetus Flatfoot remarked to the fine citizens of Corn Corners the accident scene was a real sight to behold. The train was loaded with a shipment of bananas and you could not tell where the bananas ended and the banana boys began. Blanche hearing the news was grief stricken and gave Chuck's immaculate CYMA watch to Police Officer Flatfoot for his efforts in sorting through the wreckage. For many years officer Flatfoot proudly wore this CYMA and saw to its care & cleaning. Before officer Flatfoot moved into Porter's Rest & Funeral Home to spend his remaining days, he sold the CYMA timepiece to Girard Sensoli as he knew Girard would find a good owner for it. When purchasing this fine timepiece be sure to ask about Girard's unique lay away plan.

Mechanical watch & reasonably priced.
You can have one or the other :-)
I tried this a few years back. You're not allowed battery powered watches in underground mines with a potential for explosive gases.

Closest I came was russian made watches for their military. But they were still hella-expensive and kept terrible time.

Haha, I'm reading up on horology as well but my wife is making sure I don't go down that path.

PMs are bad enough she says :P

Your wife knows about your PM's?
There's your problem...

The Citizen Promaster Sensor is one of the best watches you can find!

These were around back in the 1990's and were the first of the first! Solid and brilliant inlayed with gold. ( Not too big on your wrist...just nice)

Rare to find now. (Original release)

Sold back in 1995 for about 6 - 700 AUD.
