Verge VXG - To challenge Monero?

This one has popped up on my radar this week. Having a pretty stellar speculative run and showing resilience during the recent sell-off. Currently priced around 0.136 USD.

Anyone here looked into this? Used it? Have an opinion to share?

It might just be another pump-and-dumper but some of the ideas in the black paper seem clever. Such as integrating with TOR for instance could be next-generation privacy tech that could challenge Monero as the market leader?

I am inundated by people asking me for recommendations on cryptocurrencies. If you would use your heads you would figure out that the privacy coins (anonymous transactions) will have the greatest future. Coins like Monero (XMR), Verge (XVG), or Zcash (ZEC) cannot lose.

He posted that on December 13, and as soon as he did the pump began. This single tweet is what caused the pump, and I can say that with 100% certainty because I've been following all of this ever since he tweeted, and if you look around online you'll see the same

As for whether it will compete with XMR etc, I'm not sure, but for now I would just suggest to continue to monitor it and keep an eye on things

Prior to the past 24 hours of mayhem, in the week or so prior we were seeing several coins worth 1c etc getting really big pumps, and in most cases dumps, but Verge being a privacy coin at such a cheap price should have long term sustainability in my opinion

Verge has doubled in the last 36 hours.

Amazing to see it defy the broader sell-off.
 
It will take a little time, been on the suddens and massive spike and it really benefits me, too risky but if you bought it low in the beginning, there is nothing to worry but all gains.

The short answer is no. But that shouldn't surprise you in this crazy market.

Sorry I misread that. Yes it had exposure, but had no meat behind it.

Black paper :D they are so alternative.

More meat than I've seen elsewhere, but point taken.

I thought they had some good ideas in there but I haven't checked out the team. It was a highly speculative play and I haven't been making many of them lately. Anyway, profits taken for now.
