Hi all

Just wondering now that the spot price is so high are my numismatic coins worth anything or only spot price

I have two coins

I have put links to them that I just found on google

Both coins and boxes are in new condition

Thank you for your time and help

3oz silver coin

1/4 gold coin

I wouldn't discount premiums on your collectable coins perminently.

I have found that high or low prices are not the problem, but the investor demographics/groups that come out of the woodwork and into the market during different periods.

Finding the right buyer is like a needle... If you look in a box of needles, you will find plenty.
That said... If you find a box of needles... let me know...

Was just playing around with taking the volatility out of the price, so that premiums are able to be added more reasonably to: physical, collectable, PMs... (and not a "paper price" ;))

Heres an example of a 20% premium added spot, based on a 9hr Weighted Moving Average.
(chart here)

This makes it easier to value the premium of the collectable with less "spike and dip" volatility / short term risk.

I dont know if that kind of thing interestes anyone else. But items with premiums are generally not entirely dependant on spot prices for their value.
and it avoids ongoing updates to static prices as the market changes with the wind.

Thoughts?
