I don't know what it is in your case, but in my EU case these bars silver content cost twice as much as 'common' Maple/Philharmoniker. Maybe ok for a few, as a gimmick, but for 'saving' in silver, not really.

I have a kg worth of the 100g silver combi bars. Wouldn't bother getting anymore. Could break off 10g if I wanted/needed to.

What a waste of money on the premiums...

They're not even shiny to begin with.

they arent about premiums - they are for the doomsday people looking for fractional silver

5g scottsdale bars/$7.30 - $1.46 per gram
1/10oz scotssdale coins/$4.27 - $1.37 per gram
100g combi normal/$126.25 - $1.26 per gram
100g combi cook island/$134.91 - $1.35 per gram

I think the premiums are quite reasonable looking at the other cheap fractional currency. If you believe that silver will be the future currency of the world and that 1g combi bar will get you a loaf of bread then go for it.

If its purely for investment I dont really see the point

A loaf of bread is consumed.
You break of a section of a combi bar and end up with separate bars for the rest of the story.
And if silver would become the 'future currency' of most people, then a maple will buy 2 loafs instead of 1.
If you were a baker, would you give 2 loafs instead of 1, just because of the... ehm.. broken off part of combi bar element? If I were the baker, I'd give one of yesterdays leftovers haha.

I would buy some combibar, but rather gold or palladium ones. Maybe even platinum.

Combibar Problem ???

I know someone that took a sheet of the 1g and broke them all apart very carefully. Then they were each weighed on a very good scale.

Result? Did not weigh correctly. Each one was different and didn't match what it said. This essentially ruins this product. Maybe it was just his, but has anyone else done an actual test and review?

Havent broken any silver ones, but have broken up at least 10 (full bars) of the gold, all have weighed in perfectly.
