Fake or counterfeit coins are my worst nightmare and I’m terrified of finding one in my collection. I try as best as possible to buy coins from reputable dealers. I catalogue even my bullion coins which are from ex so-and-so. If I don’t feel comfortable with a coin then I’ll sell it and buy a replacement from another dealer. I remember selling and replacing my Sydney Victoria and Melbourne George V sovereigns because I was worried they were fakes. They were weak strikes.
