Yea, meanwhile, Chinese sweatshops have safety nets installed outside the windows to stop suicide jumpers, and the factory owners swill Baiju while the indentured slaves work away, or are forcefully taken back to their factory posts by the army if they protest.

The Chinese don’t have a western mindset.
They don’t make war, they prefer to trade and make wealth.
The west always needs someone to blame for its own demise, unfortunately the westerners always fall for it hook line and sinker

Is that right, Mr Fucking Genius? What experience lead you to that conclusion?

I've worked on and off in the tertiary education and with a lot of PRC students. A lot are lazy AF and more obsessed with Air Jordans and the latest iPhone. They wouldn't ever touch a Hwawei...zero pride in their own products. Obsessed with materialism and US goods.

But stick with your outdated racist ideas of them all being "socialist worker bees".

If anything, there are all types of people on China; lazy, dumb and smart and hard-working. Oveegeneralisations are folly.

And they won't make war until they do. And they will, soibee or later, trust me.

Hwawei connections in Australia are banned on Australian networks, (I phone protectionism) it’s why they have IPhones. We have 2 Hwawei’s, just as good the iPhone but at the fraction of the price. You describe Chinese students as a typical young student anywhere in the world. The Chinese aren’t socialist by far, they are very entrepreneurial, there is no welfare system to fall back on. My wife is Malaysian Chinese, I’m well aware of their culture and values. I also live in Asia for 6 months of the year. I have no illusions, some young are lazy due to wealthy parents just like anywhere else in the world. As far as making war, the Chinese will protect their interests just like any other sovereign country. I’m surprised you work within the education system with your redneck view’s, you must keep them well hidden. You need to get out more.

Sorry for the arsehole response... having a bad morning.

I don't see how my view is redneck. In fact, i have Asian blood, so I'm probably more Asian than you are. All I'm saying is that they are just like lazy, materialistic established middle class Aussie young adults. But others are modest and hard-working and their parents have toiled away for years for them to study in AU. And the poorer ones do have Hwawei devices. They can still use the internet, but cannot install Google etc... I believe.

I’m full white blood Australian.
Just probably lived longer and well traveled to see everyone, every race is just trying to live their life the best they can through the crap that governments create. If you must point the finger, point it at government, they are the ones creating the policies.
As far as Hwawei goes, you can only use them via hotspot and make calls via internet only, you can’t get a Australian network connection via a sim.

Yeah, that's right. They can still write their essays on them, though.

Anyway, gov't is always wack, but it is more just the whole capitalist, consumerist, keeping-up-with-the-Jones' crap. The rot goes beyond nationalities, but at least in AU, the gov't is held to some accountability regarding labour rights, EPA, etc...

Just listened to it, I'd say I agree with most of his views.

I just can't get on board with his conclusion that what has been happening in the US is all part of a plan being enacted by what he terms the "owners of global financial capital".

An alternative theory I've heard is that it's all part of a plan to introduce a Plaza Accord 2.0.

The only argument around tariffs that holds any credence in my view is the one based around national security. But that doesn't mean that that's why Trump is doing what he's doing.

Then there's the left-field explanation IE Trump really has no clue about what he's doing and he's just surrounded himself with a bunch of "yes men" in the form of Bessent, Navarro and Lutnick.

So in summary, my thoughts are that I don't think the game plan is as clear as Bolsen is suggesting.
