Silver Stacker
Hi guys,
Most of the regulars here know a little of how my personal circumstances changed recently hence why I had to sell my stack.
If I have not left any of you feedback please drop me a pm and I will do so asap. I know I did not remember everyone.

Well the job market here in Geraldton is not looking too great so I have decided to do some retraining.
I am getting older now and am not as fit as I once was so have decided to give up the construction game.

I have enrolled in a course, Certificate IV in Accounting, using some of my stacking funds for course fees etc. Upon completion i can then apply for a Diploma in Accounting.
I have a friend who is a CPA and he said it was a great idea and that once I successfully complete the course he will be able to send some work and contacts my way.
He has been a great help as he was a part owner of the company I used to work for.

I was getting a bit down and out over the last couple of months but having made this decision seems to have put a positive slant on my future.

I will be on SS from time to time as it was a great learning site and I met some great people here.
I realise that it will be a challenge but I thrive on challenges,
Wish me luck lol!

Cheers Rick

All the best. It appears that your plan has given you direction plus a positive outlook.

You can be our official "stack rectifier" !

If you design a neato new fandangle stack reconciladater, I'll get one off ya bro !

:)

haha finicky I am a little worn out from running up and down ladders and scaffolding these days and I have always been good with figures so I thought why not

50 is the new 40! get out of construction I was told a few years ago and I did and I am glad!

At least you didnt get so depressed about work that you took a counselling course lol

Hi guys thought I would let you all know how things are travelling, U people I regard as my family as I have no one else.
Well the Cpa I mentioned above rang me up and asked if I could do a couple of things around his offices, and it has turned into a full blown renovation! I have not had time to scratch myself let alone study my accounting course.
Then bugger me my ex boss came to see me and he wants to know if I can do some casual work for a mineral sands mine out here! It dont rain it poors, I could not be happier right now. The job is only menial and back breaking but it gets me out of home and off the computer and may help me get a bitter fitter, mentally and physically. It is surprising how unfit you become after 8 weeks on your ass. I am stuffed after just 3 days of renovations!
If this keeps up I may well be able to start stacking again lol
Cheers all Rick (having a well earnt emu export right now)
