Tracking the 2012 1oz Silver Dragon Secondary Market

I am sorry to say this but anyone who is prepared to pay more for the 1oz Dragon than a 2oz Dragon has soup for brains.
99% of you guys won't be starting a lunar set so why don't you just get twice the silver for the same price or less; I am sure in the long run a 2oz Dragon will give you a better return.
1oz Dragon at present has $40 of silver and $50-$60 worth of collector's premium
2oz Dragon at present has $80 of silver and $15 worth of collector's premium
When spot doubles, a 1oz Dragon will have $80 of silver and maybe up to $80 in its collector's premium. Whereas the 2oz Dragon will have $160 worth of silver as well as a collector's premium which will definitely be higher than $15
 
Jaggard is planning to sell per roll only at $125 a piece (if anyone is desperate for a roll)

I think that may be only here, out in the secondary market I still see them selling between $100 - $120 case in point - 110743119721

Sorry guys and girls, the price that I'm selling probably does not justify/reflect the actual worth of this coin in the current market, I need cash flow that's all :)

AEL, I agree with the rationale around this, I see only one key point of disagreement; the 1oz lunar dragon is limited mintage and the 2oz is not. This being the case, theoretically collector premium is unlimited (or at least very difficult to determine). Yes, currently the average premium on the 1oz is around 80AUD (with the occassional outlyers) and this is still with availability through local dealers. Once the supply of 1oz dragons dries up through the standard dealers, there is a potential that the premiums will increase past this point. This is definately a metal purist vs numismatic discussion though i dont think that calculating premiums is as clear cut as above.

Personally i agree that if you had the choice to purchase a 1oz or a 2oz for around the 100AUD mark, i would go the 2oz any day of the week and twice on sundays (if the market was open!) :D

Just my opinion.
 
the 1 oz are harder to get, so bullion buyer will go for other sizes many times over to make the shipping cost reasonable,
majority of buyers are from overseas, so if there is a RUSH to buy, even a conservative 6 million ounces minted ready to ship will not last longer than 3 months.

Ok just put some stuff up on eBay and gumtree to see if there were some fools out there (as i feel bad gouging fellow stackers) turns out there are posted and sold a 3 coin set for 1400 in about 15 minutes and sold some 1oz bullion coins on gumtree for 125 each and the lady I sold too wants my other 3-coin set for around 1750 once she has the money

$125 on the coins is good as well.
