Which was one of my original points. You cannot "have" something if you cannot take it away. This is fundamental to "having" natural rights (and the associated concept of natural law). This is a very important point. The concept of inalienability is different to the way it has been used in this debate.
Edit: Simply think about punishment. You cannot punish a murderer without taking away their natural rights.
