Today I Bought...

A gift to US government is a good for US economy…

If you look it is closer, this tired with MAGA/Trumps companies as well…TRUMP wants a piece of this pie

A friend and I went to a LCS this morning. I haven't been there since the 1970s-1980s. It looked like I thought a local coin shop would look with stuff stacked all over the place. The sell prices for AGEs and ASEs were decent at spot + $70US and Spot + $4. The buy prices didn't interest me with AGEs at spot -5% and ASEs at spot -$5.

Browsing through the cases, I the only thing of interest to me was the foreign silver coin section. I probably should have gotten the libertads, but passed on them, and the CMLs as they all looked potentially spotty. Also passed on various Canadian wildlife coins and the Australian Saltwater Crocodile coin. Ended up buying 3 2025 1oz PM lunar snakes, 2016/2017/2021/2023 Somalia Elephants, A wedge tailed eagle and an EMU. Price was spot + $3US/coin.

What year emu? The 2019 has an error coin commonly called "3 legged emu".

The rare and mythical 4 legged emu is known to wander the Australian outback with Bigfoot.

At a local online auction, I picked up a 2016 US Mint Silver Proof Set. $1.85 (1 .50, 5 .25 and 1 .10) US face value of 90% silver coins totaling 1.333 ounces of silver. Clad coins totaled $4.06 US (4 $1, 1 .05 and 1 .01). Including the purchase price - $70.50, 10% auctioneer premium - $7.05 and my friends gas to pick them up in another town - $2.45, I paid $80 US total. At the current US silver price of $79-$80, I effectively got .333 ounces of silver for free.

Edit. Not sure why the photo turned upside down.
