Had a nice new batch come through today, another US seller, this time ebay. I got to give full praise to them. Super fast mail, and packed spot on. Each slab had its own sleeve like yennus mentioned before, and then wrapped again. I paid a little bit more than I wanted but was able to negotiate a deal, also the $AU - $US conversion helps a little. So details are -

Now I'am not sure but my understanding, is a TAO is a collection, so it could be anything. So if that is the case I take this as my first TAO set LOL, so I have played in Photoshop as I need to hone some skills, badly LOL. So here is my "Today I bought...Panda style"

I saw on my watched ebay listings a NGC MS70 2010 Panda go for 87! I just paid 140 for mine
It seems like average joe sellers from canada don't get as much bids as USA power sellers even though both ship international.

That coin was possibly $335 in SH, my memory isn't the best on holiday you know how it is...

Yep, great price until you factor in its associated costs!
Pretend you bought 5 similar coins on your trip to Shanghai and you only stayed one night. (Not logical, but bear with me)
5 x $335 Panda = $1675
1 x round trip ticket to Shanghai = $1500
3 x local meals = $50
4 x taxi/public transport - $100
1 x night at hotel - $80
Actual cost per Panda = $681!!
Panda Hunting Experience = Priceless.

Pretty sure transport won't cost $100 a day in Shanghai unless you hire a limo and a driver 
Not sure about Shanghai but Beijing was 1 Yuan per train trip anywhere in the city, buses were 0.2 Yuan lol.
But yeah you wouldn't go to China just to buy Pandas unless you had other stuff to do there (or are very rich/searching for super rares).

I guess I can only speak for southern China, but it was much more than 1 Yuan to get around! Hahaha. Yes, it would need to be a holiday or business trip of some kind OR you are after very particular bears that cannot be found at reasonable costs elsewhere.

I went for the experience, as Wilkes mentions, priceless. If you have the means and are hard core then I recommend it. Im certainly not super rich but I am hard core.
Consider that you will also be having a real MCC experience building relationships with the dealers and viewing coins that are not available online, gauging quality for yourself or buy already slabbed coins. If you ask nicely Yennus may be able buy these for you when you are ready.
I'll continue buying slabbed ebay stuff but think it''s worthwhile going to China. Consider the bastard customs declaration/TAX on big ticket items if your seller declares value, postage and insurance, US sellers not shipping overseas the ones I want and various associated ebay costs rigmarole. This way I can come home with ready paid for coins.
