Hello Everyone,
I know, i know, long time no show, have been busy and not as much motivation, but i have been online.
I hope everyone forgives me
Anyways, reached a numismatic milestone not that long ago and decided to maybe start a thread for it.
So, if other members would like to share and discuss some of their purchases.
Since we already have TODAY I BOUGHT ( Auspm ) and TODAY I BOUGHT ( Panda Style - Austacker ) have decided to have one for Numismatic Coins, but
Numismatic in the sense that the coins are older or rarer - so maybe not really suited for Panda's, Lunars, Wavy 2 in 20 Cent coins, etc ( as we already have a thread for them or similar )
So show us your collectible Sovereigns, Centenary Florins, Dutch Ducats, Morgan Dollars, German Thalers, Mexican Reales, or older.
Il start it off with a Tetradrachm ( 4 Drachms ) coin from the era of Alexander III aka Alexander the Great, it is about 16 grams in weight and roughly the size of a 20 Cent coin, made of silver and a pleasure to hold

Am happy with the price i paid too ( between $80 and $400
)
The Reverse features seated Zeus with an Eagle on his outstretched arm, the mint mark is from Miletos, the crossed legs indicate that the coin was
minted posthumously and some of you should be able to read ALEXANDROU written in Greek.
The Obverse features Heracles draped in Lion skin, it has a relatively large test cut on the lower part ( probably done in the olden days to confirm that it wasnt plated )
Coin was bought on eBay from a reputable numismatist from UK, and feels authentic to me, but than again its not like i have held many in my hands before.
