Its a good thing I'm single or I would be getting beat right now...I think I will be stearing clear of the Silver Coins section :P

Can't wait till it shows up, looks really pretty! Discount code was great too, you rock

I'm getting beat with these coins! The only thing that stopped me getting this coin was firstcoincompany payment failures after the PayPal redirect back to their site for finalisation wouldn't work for me (with multiple attempts on different browsers too... yes, I really wanted one).

Exact same thing happened to me and I tried all browsers and my tabled. I switched to pay with credit card instead and it finally worked.

Yeah, wouldn't you figure, it happened to me too, but I moved to my laptop, and worked like a charm. The express the paypal is what gave me the problem. When I checked the 'normal paypal' option (there were 2), it worked no problem. I got 2. Hopefully I get COA #1. LOL.

Sometimes I wish that I was such a Baller that I could buy a bunch coins like this and just spend them at face value
I hear ya! People in the store would probably be like "what the hell is this?" And not accept it... Lol

I'd love to jump on this coin except I'm already in over $350 on the Mesopotamia Imperial Art series coin. Pre-ordered it on Oct 5th and still haven't received word of when it is being shipped. So far have been notified of one delay. Has anyone ordered from First Coin before or is anyone in on this coin that can give more information?

I have ordered from FCC but except for my very recent order of the Skulls coins, all the coins I've ordered were all in stock at the time I ordered and therefor I've never had a problem with deliveries.

Thanks for the info. I'm not too concerned, it's just my impatience setting in. I've never had a coin quite like the Meso so I'm getting antsy.

 I will accept all of it and give changes in ordinary coins and notes

Nice,
except for that ugly stone in it.
Just more work to be done on it before being melted down in the future

This is obviously the same person who'd want to melt down a 1794 Flowing Hair dollar ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flowing_Hair_dollar ) just to be able to trade it in for 2 grains of salt in the future being that the value of silver seems to be headed nowhere but toward zero. :o

.

Dang Missing, can you give me that one? I'll split the profits with you. :D I got 2 of these PENA coins, and I'll be holding them for a while.

Maybe particularly rare coins will hold a premium value, But I think in the long run 99.9% of silver coins will be melted down into blocks then made into electronics or whatever.
All these SBSS and Co coins are not going to be worth anything more than a normal ounce in 10 years. Or so I think.

Silver is Silver, No matter the shape or picture on it

It depends on the size and prosperity of the future collector market relative to today, along with the future availability of silver.

though I think alot of us stackers do so becauase we have no faith in the $$$ or the criminals that 'manage' it.
Aside from the issues of would you sell silver for FIAT when SHTF? or is it a likely trade commodity, in which case people wont care for premiums.

Also assuming Silver will get rarer from here in due to it's high industrial use and relatively low mining volume and new discoveries.

Plus god knows people need Tech.
That flowing hair coin is about the amount of silver required to make a new computer.:D

There's absolutely no precedent or evidence to remotely corroborate such a wild and implausible scenario in which you have dreamed up.

Throughout history (certainly modern), people of all walks of life have cherished and sought objects of beauty or scarcity. Coin collecting will outlive our great, great, great, great, great, great grandchildren.

Silver is neither indispensable nor does it have intrinsic value. It's what people make with silver (and the energy/labor put into obtaining the silver and the fabrication costs of that thing included) is where that silver derives it's importance to people...who then attach values to those things made of or from silver...such as shiny, detailed, works of round flattish art.

But many coins and medals are valuable regardless if they have even a speck of silver in them or not:

Since clearly you are never going to convince me of your notions and I doubt you are going to be swayed by my argument, we are probably better off agreeing to strongly disagree.

Take care.

Barsenault would be the stacker who knows better than I on this. I look forward to seeing his video probably as much as he is looking forward to making one for this coin.

The Pena Palace design is particularly nice IMO. The little dude in the corner reminds me a bit of how I think Silver Stackers end up if they get too obsessed.
