Yes, the seal seems to keep the spots at a minimum but they do still develop within the flex-seal. We have several different flexseal maples going back a few years, and the spots aren't too bad, but who wants even a tiny spot on premium bullion . . . the privy maples for 2016 all suffer from greedy dealer/unsavvy buyer syndrome. I believe mint-sealed maples are less likely to develop spots. That's smart of them there.
