There will be a shortage of Perth Mint Silver Bars for a while!

My call to the Perth Mint resulted in them advising there is a two to three week delay on silver bars, to call back in a fortnight as they can't give a date yet.

Trust me if suppliers dry up, dealers will dry up and people will hang on to their bullion likes nuns hang on to their chastity. Whoever sells won't be selling at spot + postage.
.
But at least one will be able to buy/sell/. Look at the premium in Perth Mint over the spot/for example fractionals- gold lunar coin/.-This is insane:mad:

Not the first time. Same like US mint out of eagles. Still no sign of shortage of gold bullion in Singapore yet. The usual stuff, kangaroos, lunars, maples, britannias, kilobars, 100grams still available. I'll be watching closely.

Anyone saw this video?

There is no shortage. Its still being produced & is being sent overseas to Europe & other countries. The international market is the priority for PM.

Email from KJC:

We would like to inform you of the following delays on Perth Mint orders.

Production has been suspended on all 1 kilo, 10oz and 100oz silver bars due to new equipment being installed in The Perth Mint refinery. As a result, there will be a substantial delay on these orders until the mint has received more stock.

In addition to this, the devastating bush fire crisis across the country has caused delays on all other Perth Mint orders due to road closures. We have been notified that orders have now been dispatched and we will be in contact as soon as they arrive.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

The KJC Team

It's been up to six weeks since orders were placed with the Perth Mint for bars and still no deliveries.
Also ABC has ramped up their margins on wholesale kilo Pamp bars so dealers are lucky to make $5 profit
Life's tough for bullion dealers at the moment!

Ainslie appear to have an unlimited supply of 10oz Perth Mint bars when ordering on line

Bullion Now showing 97 10oz bars in stock but 1kg bars on back order

No mention of being on back order whey you get to the check out stage so from that I assume they are holding a reasonable amount in stock

As far as I can tell, Ainslie do not limit their inventory so you can check out like thousands of coins but it's highly unlikely they would have all of the stock on hand.

Perth still don't have any small silver bars and there's no 10oz silver coins!:(

Perhaps they took notice and have decided to put the words silver and 9999 on their bars. When will that happen???o_O

The 10oz lunars, Koalas and Kooks are sadly missed. :(
