The most beautiful coin in the world [pics]

It will probably be the first coin to get white spots on the capsule instead of the actual coin ;) :) .

This one gets my vote for the prettiest silver bullion coin.

I have become a fan of the Libertad about a year after my first purchase as a stacker. No doubt in my mind that the proof and proof-like (PL kilo) Libertad are among my favorite coin designs.

Good to see I am not alone in my appreciation of them.

.

I'm a fan too thanks to another stacker who sold me a couple of ounce Libertads quite affordably. Thank you kind stacker :) I've since picked a 2oz but I rarely see them offered for sale in Aus.

Yup, 2014 is probably one of the nicest Britannia coins ever.

I'm also big fan of Libertads. Since I didn't get 2014 Britannia I bought 5 oz 2014 Libertad. Not many were made. At least something to help me heal my wounds. :/

Hey Stark, did you pick up a proof or BU 5 oz Lib? I know 5 oz proofs were sold but I'm not real certain that 5 oz BU's were sold by the OM.

I think you've forgotten to post the "What capsule for a oz Mexican Libertad coin?"

Capsules already on order for my lovely little Libertads :) 33mm I think it was.

Capsules, at last!

Weren't you trying to rationalize and simplify your stack? :/

Yes! The previous time I tried it lasted about a week, and then I acquired a couple of tubes of the Noah's Arks and it was all downhill from there.

I mean it this time. Really!

The proof Libs seem to be selling in the aftermarket for decent premiums, overall....last time I checked. 2014 may end up being a key year for proofs and the PL kilo.

I like Libertads a lot but looking at a Libertad makes me think "Liberty" or even "Liberation", not "triumphant and scintilating"....that's what this Britannia design makes me think of....

That 2014 Britannia certainly is spectacular. Everytime I see it my admiration for the design is renewed. It has cemented its place as one of the greatest designs and I think in years to come people will consider this to be a key one to pursue and acquire.

I haven't checked the RM site, but how is the 2015 5 oz proof selling?

I just checked and it's barely half sold. Not selling well at all.

Looks like 2014 will go down in history as a key year for the 5oz Britannia... one future collectors will aspire to attain.

First time I saw the 2015 5 oz proof Britannia I had a hunch it wasn't going to be a good seller....but does that mean it will be a key issue in the future if so few are sold? I wonder how long they will keep it on sale...till the last one sells in 2023? :)
