The milking of the dragon continues... in Hong Kong

Pass on the coins but those funny dragon statutes are rad. How do I get one of those? Do they have any PM content? If so I want one!

Yeah I wanted that too LOL but can't get them unless you order some sets.

Unfortunately the sets are even more pricey than Perth Mint's :|

And while the milking may continue, there is really only 1 release from that group listed in the original post that commands huge international recognition and investment potential, with the PM coins a distant 2nd place.

I'd only buy from mints that have a history of Lunar releases thereby avoiding the milkers.

I can't believe that the Chinese are ripping off the Perth Mint lunar Calendar, when are they going to come up with something original instead of ransacking our heritage for a few dollars?!

Which ones are you refering to? Singapore?? I would hardly say they command huge international recognition compared to China and PM?? Please let us know...

It's going to be even worse in 2013 I suspect for Year of the Snake.

Isn't the Dragon usually the most popular, followed by the Snake?

Or do you think it will be a case of people seeing this years popularity and trying to cash in on it next year?

haha singapore... there's a PF70 1988 SG 1/4oz Gold Dragon on eBay for $650 and nobody wants it...

So yeah, almost nil international recognition

The order goes from China first followed by Perth Mint for sure.

Yeah I misunderstood, I thought mshiney was saying the high recognition coin was not in the list sorry.. I would have to go with China as well it is my favorite dragon coin and I like both sides which I cant say for any others so far. Too bad they are so expensive , i wish we could buy them in rolls for maybe spot + 100% . I think it is alittle ironic that all i see from China is cheap underpriced garbage but when it comes to actual precious metal from china like these dragons they are wayy expensive and nice quality....

Fiji Yin and Yang design 2 oz lunar coin is pretty cool, although their animals are ugly<g>

So by now we have seen a large variety of dragons from:

Perth Mint
Canadian Mint
APMEX
Suissegold
China Mint
NZ Mint
PAMP <- updated

Now we have another one from Hong Kong:

Milk milk milk milk.

That one is not by HK, but by UK.

And you left out some :)

France
Macau (very cool design)
Niue
Laos (with Jade)
Singapore

Hello fellow Lunarians,
I must say the Jade Laos coin is just super stunning, but alas, out of my price range.
And I quite like the Dragon coin from Canada.
