Went in with over usd 1500, thought I might be lucky... No chance!!!

I regret not getting a Wolverine back when they first came out. At the time when it came out, I was just getting out of collecting foreign coins and divesting my collection. I purchased the owl coin last year because my wife loves owls. I wasn't expecting any new coins in the series to come out the way the Wolverine did, but this Hedgehog has sent secondary prices sky rocketing for all the coins. Good for those who have and not good for those who have not. Right now it is all about suppy and demand and with pieces of art as these coins are, collector interest will rise as will the prices.

I would never find out the existence of this coin (also many coins other than the Perth Mint) without this forum, just opened my eyes about the varieties of coins!

have to agree thats madness i would never ever consider paying that sort of money for a 1 oz silver coin even if it was gold :)

dragon madness is nothing and my deduction from the whole thing is people have too much money.

hey guys not saying anyone else shouldnt buy them me i just dont have that much money.

i would like to sell not buy wish i had some i would be selling them.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder and me well i try not to get attached to any silver while sometimes that maybe hard if the price is right its all for sale.

we all buy things for many diff reasons if you like this coin they buy away i say but me could think of much better things to spend my money on and its a high risk purchase in my book.

The coin is beautiful, but $2k for an 1oz silver sounds ridiculous to me. At least I have too much money and to spend. Meanwhile, I'm happy just to keep a copy of the photo =)

Lots of bidders wtih 0 or 1 feedback in this auction.

Many of my friends become instant coin lover because of hedgehog, I am not suprise there are many others in the globe may fall in love with hedgehog at first sight. This coin is just come out for less than 2 months and mintage of only 2,500 (NOT 25,000) pieces, many new comers may join into the frame of this madness, for some affordable one, they may consider to collect all three in the series.

$2k, is it sound ridiculous for wolverine ? yes or no depends on everyone perception on this series, as it already sound ridiculous when the price was $1,000, then $1,500 and now $2,000.

Due to foresight of most pal in this forum, many bought more than one hedgehog. If every one buy 2, then only 1,250 people own it ; buy 4 then 625 people own it. Many regret not buying wolverine at $500, many already regret not knowing hedgehog in early Feb 2012, more will regret when hedgehog price going up in future, some regret for not buying ........... , some regret for only bought one ... , some regret for not buy more.

If you see mongolia wildlife series as a silver coins, then you rather buy silver bar as you can buy low and sell high based on market fluctuation. If you see this series as piece of art, then congratulations, you are collecting one of the most sought muzeum series in years to come.

Well keep letting all your friends know about them, so all of us who collected some will be happy when when/if we go to sell ours, hehe.

Hey pal, no worry! Nobody is dumb when he dont buy anything that he feels no worth to buy, just like we dont say somebody is dumb because he spends a few million dollars to buy a rare coin or picaso art. Everybody has their own interest and limitation, if you feel something is worth what you pay for, go for it. If not, just forget it and get the download picture for free.

We are here to promote best value coins and share our interest on coins. We do understand that not everybody has the same wealth and same perception on the coin value. If somebody is willing to pay thousands for a rare coin, lets him do it. If somebody is willing to pay hundreds just to own a silver bar and he is happy to do so ... " JUST "let him" DO IT".
