I agree one was created by a master craftsman. One was created by a computer designer. I also believe that they have changed some parts of the process. The modern coins have no relief in them, unless you go for the high relief. Modern bullion looks as if it has been screen printed on the blank rather than stamped.

And the rise of social media. How many of us found out about gold/silver and where and what to buy vai the internet. Now a coin is released and the network knows!

Comparing these images is indeed irritating. But I wonder how an objective comparison would look like, namely comparing either both artificial images, or both in form of photos taken under equal conditions. From a quick wesearch, it seems that photos of the second one do not look as ... ehrm.... look better than the artificial image.
