In October it seems the next in this series are released. Any idea if there will be a release this year? And when? And any ideas of the design?

Probably a typo Andy.

Like you say the new coin is due.

I got a few of the wedgies back on 21 September 2011 so ..... maybe Perth have forgot.

October 2010 was the Tasmanian Tiger, October 2011 was the eagle, October 2012 nothing up until September 2013? Odd, very odd. Capacity issues???

They look to have fixed the blurb, now says October 2012
One would assume that we're getting pretty close then. :D

Here's my guesses:
- Snapping Turtle
- Waterfall Frog
- Bluetongue Lizard - I believe there's a few species which are endangered!
- Tasmanian Devil
- Spot-tailed Quoll
- Blue Whale - Not sure how well this would transfer to a coin, though.

Just wondering why these coins are so popular. They are beautiful, no doubt, but maybe the same case/box like Deadly and Dangerous series, makes them more special? :D

Alex.

Tuvalu is only 15 Metres above sea-level and will probably not exist one day so the coins will be rare! Just joking. :)

The Tassy Tiger was the first coin in the Endangered and Extinct series and now as the other coins are released there's excitment because people think they're going to make a quick buck.
The Tassy Tiger sells for about $272, the issue price was $94.50.

There's always the chance that collectors will Fall-In-Love with a new design and as the coins have a low mintage and are popular, the flippers like to know in advance of any new release so that they can ascertain the "Coin Mood"!
Good coin mood means flippers buying.

PS

Talisman are trying to sell the Tassy Tiger for $399

Yeah the Tiger has been about $300 for over a year now, not going up, not going down. Another coin in the series might help push its value higher.

unless PM released out them in High Relief or All in 1 packaging........but i really hope they don't.

I am tired of all these High Relief coins from PM. IMHO they are too small (2 oz would look much better) and after a few of them seen, all look the same :)
