Thread has missed the point.
If the West ( USA, France, UK etc. ) launches cruise missiles into Syria in the next few days, this in theory will trigger a response from allies of Syria but especially Iran.
Chemical weapons inspectors are on site today but political leaders have probably already decided action ahead of the inspectors report. Syria has blatantly crossed the red line and the rest of the world has to respond or loose credibility so a punitive strike is inevitable. Iran has publicly declared it will react if the West attacks Syria and it would be ineffective for Iran to send missiles into the Mediterranean threating USA or UK ships so their best option to create maximum impact is to attack Israel. After all they hate each other. That gives Israel the green light to flatten all Iranian nuclear sites, which they are itching to do. An attack on Israel will essentially be an attack on the USA so who knows what would hapen next. The amount of PMs in missiles is missing the point completely. If a war breaks out the world siezes dollars or ditches dollars and gold etc becomes the store of wealth so one would assume substantial price increases on the horizon along with oil.
