SVL

But that day is not today, they lost 44% today.
Agreed Oz :) but all relative...if bought in 2020 it was around 9cents earlier this year up to 22 not huge gain but a lil $ made if timed, And its a loss for sure but a "paper" one and none realised unless panic and sell Friday stock ate it big time but Desposit still there and if like some believe theres a shortage or were eating up reserves then one day that Sweet silver will be needed. Our physical was much higher while back but has dropped too...not gold but which i favour held its ground yet again n risen but our Ag beaten back down...still both up over time. Again relative but depending on what chart n times were looking at. These times and not much work have eaten up lotta my spare cash but physical gold has maintained imo purchasing power and always element of security so its worth risk if financials of company sound and resource owned and relatively secure, but thats just my amateur ignorant opinion ;) safety 1st and insurance then some smaller gambles that can pay off as $ i earn is going no where fast

Filthy hippies! ;) Happy to destroy 100s/1000s of kms for "enviromentally friendly" green energy and so "cheap and efficient" renewables :p but 13kms is to much here.

Last week, federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek delivered a body blow to the communities of Blayney, Orange and the local region, killing off the McPhillamys gold mining project near Blayney that would have delivered around 800 local jobs and close to a billion dollars in investment.

The Minister then hopped on a plane and jetted to the News Limited Bush Summit in Townsville where she claimed to care about regional communities.

Days after cancelling the gold mine, the Minister quickly approved the one of the world’s biggest solar projects south of Darwin, involving 120 square kilometres of solar panels, 800 kilometres of transmission lines, and an undersea cable to the edge of Australian territorial waters.

This monster project would result in solar panels installed across an area roughly the same size as the Sydney, Wooollahra, Waverley, Randwick and Inner West local government areas combined.

Apparently there are no environmental or heritage concerns for this project. Curiously, those issues seem only to relate to proposed mining projects.

A solar farm of 120 sq km would cover say an area 10 km wide by 12 km long. How many tonnes of raw minerals would have to be mined to create that infrastructure? Cables, panels, ground mounts, fences, electrical circuits and gizmos, fuel... Be interesting to see the ROI and how long before it is expected to turn a profit or at least a "saving" measured in both $ and CO2 emissions.

On a side note, Townsville would just be "token" bush for the duration of the summit surely?

So much of the bullshit news find sickening lately, corrupt and built upon false truths and supposedly values of virtue ;) Saw that the local elders and community had no real objections most were supportive. Majority of our countries economy based on mining...but have to make sure right people paid 1st. Justification for one project even though can be much more destructive supported while others fall off. Dont know enough mate but until theyre producing good product and profits speculation and gamble, SVL has good desposit but been sitting on it for years. If Physical price rises enough n demand climbs maybe then theyll get the go ahead...and approval without road blocks. Theres others like Arafura ARU endorsed by Rhinehart and given $ by government also along with others that got eye on...Will government support mean less of a gamble and commit to project. Who bloody knows system is fickle and can pull cash and profit anytime they please and someone holds the bag, rather gold then dogshit but ;):p amateur research, timing and luck im not smart enough for much else. Hoping physical provides security somewhat like it has and growth over time, in between worth abit of a gamble...better then the lottery? :)

So...basically this stock seems to be profitable for traders trading swing action, silver swingers? :eek:o_O:p back down to 9cents and looks like Rick Rule has pulled funding and theyve diluted the shit outta the already weak stock. A big blow dealt when court ruled against earlier in year and today another 20% drop  while its pos thats (piece of shit) not price of silver im gonna keep buying it will rise once mania strikes again and silver reaches mainstream hype. Come on Motely Fool pump this mofo and lets cash in or out the chips haha. Will they ever unearth this deposit? if silver does go to decade ago rise again then theres hope, this stock was in the $ now in low cents. Used to play pokies n lottery now this is lil more interesting with slightly-just better odds

I got out of this when we had the big metals pumps and this thing did nothing and even went backwards
Agreed mate its a dog stock dont think there really that interested in actually digging out resource, mostly bought low then sold as swing when reaches higher. Still but very long shot gamble only few pureplay miners so if when price increase and hype returns possiblity of climb like before. Well played :)
